Internship Project: This is an inventory management app that I designed while working as a UI/UX Intern at Centelon Solutions.
The App is a digital solution designed to help small businesses, retailers, and warehouse teams efficiently track, manage, and analyze their inventory in real time.
The app simplifies complex inventory tasks through an intuitive interface that allows users to add, update, and monitor inventory stock levels, manage employees and managers, and generate sales or restock reports, all in one place.
Process
Concept Development: Defined the app’s objective as a smart, user-friendly solution to help small businesses and retailers efficiently track, manage, and analyze their inventory. Identified key user needs through preliminary research simplified stock updates, low-inventory alerts, and real-time analytics.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Started with low-fidelity wireframes focusing on functional clarity rather than visuals.
Tested multiple layout options to determine the most efficient way to display product data and actions.
Progressed to interactive Figma prototypes, allowing early usability checks and flow validation before finalizing the visual design.
Visual Design and Branding: Built a clean, modern visual identity that communicates reliability and efficiency. Adopted a neutral, professional color palette (shades of blue, grey, and white) for clarity and readability. Employed simple icons and rounded UI components for a sense of approachability while maintaining a structured grid system.
Final Prototype and Interaction Design: Added micro-interactions such as smooth transitions, floating action buttons, loading states, and confirmation modals to make the interface more responsive and trustworthy.
Integrated smart alert notifications for stock shortages and order delays.
The final Figma prototype demonstrated a seamless workflow from inventory updates to report generation, aligning with the goal of efficiency and control.
The final design provides a comprehensive yet simple tool for inventory management: merging clarity, usability, and data precision. It enables users to track stock, manage suppliers, and generate reports effortlessly, helping
businesses stay organized and proactive in real-time.
